Core Values - The Kingdom of God

Our beliefs and values are rooted in Jesus’ teachings, which are the core of the evangelical church today. We acknowledge that through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, we are forgiven for our sins and we can have a personal relationship with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are motivated by Jesus commands to love God and our neighbor as ourselves in the power of his spirit and to make disciples, teaching them to obey. Matt 22:37-39; 28:19-20

GOD'S CALL

"The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on Him in truth." Psalm 145:18(NIV)

"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

There is a divine reason we have a burden and call to pray.  God’s heart for people! Unlike any other time, we are being called to contend in prayer for God's harvest of souls.  We partner with him when we answer his call. We are all strategically situated for His plans and purpose to know him and make him known. To 'inquire, hear and obey' his call will transform lives, cities and nations for eternity.

  • “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”  Matthew 9:38 (NIV)
  • “The  earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.” James 5:16 (NLT)
  • “If my people, who are called by name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I  hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

GOD'S HEART

For God  so loved the world … God’s heart of love was expressed to all mankind through the gift of His Son, Jesus.  His heart  is that all souls should be saved and none should die.  It is with  his heart of compassion and love that we approach His throne in prayer to petition Him.  It’s  his heart of love that is expressed as we engage in acts of kindness and encouragement."I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.  Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.  This is good and please God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.  For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity - the man Christ Jesus. 1 Tim 2:1-5 (NIV)

GOD'S HARVEST

He tells us that the harvest fields are white and  ready to harvest.  He desires workers to labor in His love and power in the harvest fields  all around us.  This call to contend in prayer for souls is his idea to help bring in his harvest.

  • “…open your eyes and look at the fields!  They are ripe for harvest.”  John 4:35 (NIV)

GOD'S TEAM

He is asking us to unite together in order to accomplish his purposes.  The One who IS the beginning and the end; and who's purposes we cannot begin to fathom;  is inviting us to partner with him through prayer.  He asks us to fix our eyes  on him and work together at his command. What might happen if we do not fulfill this call to his team

  • "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:19-20 (NIV)
  • I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:22-23 (NIV)

GOD'S WORD

As we come together in unity we have the opportunity to declare his Word.  It is as powerful as a two edged sword and does not return without accomplishing his purpose.  With the power of a word –  God's Word - the earth and all that is in it was created.  That same power is available to us today and is released when we pray and declare his Word over people and circumstances. There is power in coming together in unity and declaring his Word and  his purposes!

  • "Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." Ephesians 6:17-18 (NIV)
  • "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." Hebrews 4:12-13 (NIV)

These core values and principles drive Breakthrough Prayer Ministry - God's Call, God's Heart, God's Harvest, God's Team, God's Word, and we believe are all His Idea!  We believe God is calling to assemble a mighty army of those who are willing to inquire, hear and obey Him for the advance of His Kingdom. We pray your prayer fuse will be ignited and united in purpose and plan to contend in prayer for the souls of mankind in your city, so that the world will know him. You can expect your faith adventure in prayer to be transformed!
